How it works

Before you can list your item for sale you will need to create your free account and log in.

You will also need to have your photographs ready and cropped down to an appropriate size (500KB max file size per image).

Try to ensure your images are:

• not blurred;
• have an uncluttered background;
• the object is not too far away;

The perfect picture will fit perfectly in frame, with a clear background.

It’s also a good idea to have as much detail about your item ready at hand eg. log book, make and model numbers

Reduce the number of questions you may be asked by writing a good description. To write a good description, think about what you would like to know if you were buying the product yourself. Include information such as: brand name, condition, item specifics, model numbers, size, precise dimensions, style and colour. How old is it? How often have you
used it? Why are you selling it? Is the warranty still valid? Where did you buy it?

On the top right hand side in the navigation area, there is  ’Post an Ad’ button, click this to start listing.

Your first option is to select the category that best describes your item.

If you are struggling choosing, browse through items already listed and see if somebody is selling an item similar to yourself and where they have placed theirs.

Once you have chosen a category, hit the ‘Go’ button to bring up the form where you enter the details of your item.

Here you need to fill in all the details you are asked for. If you are struggling to understand what you should enter into the box, hover over the question mark for help.

You may notice little asterisk marks (*)  along the way, these indicate that you cannot leave the fields empty. If you try to submit the form without filling them in, they will be highlighted in red and the form will not be processed until they are populated.

When all details have been filled in for your item, hit the ‘continue’ button.

All the information will now appear on screen for you to check for typographical errors. Make sure it is exactly what you want to post and when you are happy, post your advert.

Once your ad is published, you can view the status of your new ad in your account dashboard.

The advert will not appear live immediately, we need to review your ad to ensure that it complies with our posting rules and is not a prohibited Item. When it has been checked we will publish to the system for everyone to see.
